Job summary

CaptiveAire is seeking an Application Engineer to join our team, focusing on applying HVAC solutions and leading design reviews for a variety of commercial projects. You will work with internal sales, R&D, and service teams to deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes developing training materials and tools for the sales team, evaluating new applications, and providing real-time technical guidance to ensure designs meet CaptiveAire standards.

Qualifications

• BS in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred.
• 0–5 years engineering experience.
• Knowledge of HVAC/Ventilation systems preferred.
• Strong data manipulation using Excel or similar software.
• Strong communication skills with a wide range of audiences, from technical to non-technical.

Responsibilities

• Design sustainable mechanical ventilation and control strategies for commercial applications.
• Provide final review of critical projects for accuracy and alignment with design standards.
• Collaborate with sales engineers to deliver real-time technical guidance.
• Develop training resources (webinars, support pages, design tools) for sales staff.
• Review and analyze remote monitoring data.
