Job summary

Leidos Engineering seeks a Transmission Line Project Engineer to lead HV/EHV transmission design within the EPC Solutions Team, guiding efforts from proposal through closeout.

You will coordinate civil, structural, electrical, environmental, surveying, permitting, procurement, and construction activities to deliver complex transmission infrastructure for major utility clients across North America, while ensuring quality, schedule, and cost goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil or Structural) required.
• 8+ years in design of electric utility transmission systems with EPC project exposure.
• Proven experience with PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and TOWER.
• Knowledge of NESC, ASCE, ACI, and AISC codes.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering design for HV/EHV overhead and underground transmission line projects.
• Develop and review transmission line designs using PLS-CADD/PLS-POLE/TOWER models and structural analyses.
• Ensure compliance with codes and standards; prepare plans, specs, and procurement docs.
• Lead EPC project execution from proposal through commissioning; manage interfaces.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive QA/QC across deliverables.
• Coordinate with clients and multiple internal teams; manage schedules and budgets.
