Job summary

ERSG Ltd in the United States seeks a High Voltage Project Engineer to lead engineering execution, detailed design review, and technical oversight of utility-scale substations and renewable integration projects.

You will act as the owner's technical authority for substation engineering, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage interfaces with utilities, and drive interconnection compliance while traveling up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline required.
• ABET-accredited university or demonstrated equivalent knowledge.
• Hands-on substation engineering and detailed design experience.
• Project engineering or project management in major energy infrastructure.
• Experience with integrating renewables (PV, wind, BESS) into transmission systems preferred.
• Knowledge of System studies: Short Circuit, Load Flow, TOV, Arc-Flash, grounding, ampacity studies.
• Exposure to owner’s engineer roles; PE license and PMI certification are pluses.
• Ability to travel domestically up to 25% and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee engineering lifecycle from development to commissioning for HV projects.
• Provide SME leadership on HV asset designs and procurement specs.
• Author and review substation equipment specifications.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across internal and external groups.
• Lead interconnection discussions with utilities and transmission providers.
• Guide interfaces with transmission lines and renewable tech deployments.
