CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Substation Physical Engineer | Regional Technical Leader to provide both technical and organizational leadership within our growing Power and Energy practice. This role combines advanced engineering expertise in High Voltage (HV) substation design with responsibility for leading, developing, and growing a team of engineering professionals.

The successful candidate will serve as a recognized technical authority for substation physical design, lead complex project

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or related discipline; PE license.
• 15 years of related experience; travel may be required.
• Experience leading regional or multi-office teams is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, execution, and delivery of HV substations 230kV–345kV.
• Serve as Engineer of Record and technical authority for physical design.
• Mentor engineers, support business growth, and manage performance.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams from planning to startup.
• Drive quality reviews, standards development, and continuous improvement.
