Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Substation Physical Engineer | Regional Technical Leader to provide both technical and organizational leadership within our Power and Energy practice. You will lead HV substation design, serve as the Engineer of Record, and mentor a team of engineers and designers to deliver complex projects from planning through startup.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or related discipline.
Professional engineering (PE) license or ability to obtain.
15 years of related experience; equivalent experience considered.

Responsibilities

Lead design, execution, and delivery of HV substation projects 230kV–345kV.
Serve as Engineer of Record (EOR) for substation physical design including AIS/GIS, grounding, and station services.
Review and approve engineering deliverables to meet client requirements and CDM Smith standards.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams from planning through startup.
Drive quality reviews and standards development for technical excellence.
Lead and mentor engineers and designers for career growth and performance.
