Job summary

Utility Lines Construction Services (ULCS) is seeking a qualified field technician to perform in-field testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of relays and electrical equipment under the PERT General Foreman.

The role requires an engineering degree, Red Tag Certification, and the ability to read drawings and schematics, with strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills. On-site work across substations and transmission lines is expected.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Engineering Technology.
• Red Tag Certification required.
• Knowledge of electrical transmission stations and lines.
• Ability to read and understand drawings, schematics, manuals.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Able to work independently or in a group.

Responsibilities

• Test electro-mechanical, solid-state, and microprocessor relays.
• Troubleshoot control circuits and commission new relays and equipment.
• Complete field jobs under supervision of the PERT General Foreman.
• Use power tools and testing equipment safely on site.
