Job summary

Echo Electric, a Sonepar brand, seeks a Projects Quotations Specialist to coordinate bidding and quotations for substations and distribution equipment. You will ensure accurate pricing, timely submissions, and alignment with sales goals while managing supplier and customer communications.

The role requires 1+ years in quoting substations, knowledge of high voltage equipment, and strong analytical skills. Growth opportunities exist within a global leader that values development and integrity.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience with quoting substations and distribution equipment.
• High voltage electrical industry knowledge.
• Bachelor degree in business or related field preferred or equivalent on-the-job experience.
• Knowledge of estimating software.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain customer and vendor relationships.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Ability to read CAD drawings and layouts.
• Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate bid documents, one line diagrams, and drawings to generate and submit competitive bids.
• Monitor ordering activities for bid projects to ensure pricing and terms accuracy.
• Communicate proactively with customers throughout the quotation/bid process.
• Formulate pricing strategies in collaboration with sales and management.
• Stay informed about inventory and substitutions.
• Attend trainings to enhance product knowledge.
• Negotiate special pricing contracts and maintain documentation.
• Foster relationships with Sales and Inside Sales teams and support staff.
• Exchange customers’ needs information timely.
