Job summary

Echo Electric, a brand owned by Sonepar, seeks a Projects Quotations Specialist in Council Bluffs, IA to coordinate bid activity, prepare BOMs, and craft pricing aligned with branch profitability. You will partner with sales and vendors to assemble timely proposals and ensure accurate documentation.

You will work with Inside and Outside Sales, procurement, and management to track bids, adjust strategies, and deliver on customer requirements while maintaining ethical standards and a strong local

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or equivalent on-the-job experience.
• 3+ years of experience with electrical and lighting products.
• Demonstrated customer and vendor relationship building and maintenance skills.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely in written and verbal formats.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills; ability to read blueprints and spec layouts.
• Strong attention to detail and demonstrated follow-up skills.
• Time management and organization skills; ability to plan and manage multiple priorities.
• Commitment to high ethical standards in professional behavior.

Responsibilities

• Analyze project blueprints to identify specifications for BOMs.
• Prepare project bills of materials and obtain pricing from vendors.
• Formulate pricing strategy aligning with margin objectives and pricing data.
• Prepare and submit complete bid proposals before deadlines.
• Maintain an accurate follow-up system for bids and quotations.
• Assist development of group bidding strategy based on feedback.
• Coordinate ordering and delivery with sales after proposal award.
• Monitor ordering activity to ensure pricing and terms are correct.
• Communicate pricing changes and strategies to branch associates.
• Develop and maintain manufacturer contacts and substitutions as needed.
• Support other branches to secure and facilitate customer orders.
