Job summary

Rising Edge Group is seeking a Chief Estimator to provide strategic and technical leadership for complex electrical infrastructure estimates across the United States. You will guide pre-construction, collaborate with leadership, and mentor a team of estimators to ensure accurate, competitive bids for substations, transmission, distribution, and BESS projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field considered an asset.
10+ years of progressive experience in electrical estimating, pre-construction, or electrical infrastructure project delivery.
Experience with HV electrical projects, substations, and BESS is preferred.
Strong ability to lead bid reviews, set estimating standards, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Experience mentoring estimators and coordinating with multi-region leadership.

Responsibilities

Lead estimating activities across the US for complex electrical infrastructure projects.
Prepare, review, and validate detailed cost estimates including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
Train and develop a team of estimators and improve estimating processes.
Develop project schedules, cash flow analyses, and execution plans for proposals.
Assess risks, commercial exposures, and value engineering opportunities.
Collaborate with leadership, PM, engineering, procurement, and BD to support bid decisions.
