Job summary

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Department of Human Services seeks a Human Services Program Representative 1 to support mental health services. The role partners with counties and providers to strengthen service quality, oversee contracts, analyze data, and monitor programs for compliance.

Responsibilities include guidance to staff, contract review, incident investigation, and audit support, with telework potential and a standard 37.5-hour week.

Qualifications

• Three years of professional experience developing, implementing, or evaluating a human service program, and a bachelor’s degree; or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Ability to interpret rules and regulations for mental health services.
• Wamiliarity with state and federal program expectations is preferred.

This position supports oversight and evaluation of community mental health services within the Division of Western Operations. As a Human Services Program Representative 1, you will perform the following duties:

• Community Guidance: Provide consultation to county and provider staff on rules and regulations for mental health services
• Contract Oversight: Explain and review contract components between the department and counties in the Behavioral Health Managed Care Program
• Data Evaluation: Collect, interpret, and analyze information to assess compliance with standards and requirements
• Program Monitoring: Review reports and assist counties and providers with meeting state and federal program expectations
• Incident Review: Investigate complaints or major incidents and prepare recommendations for needed corrective actions
• Audit Support: Assist with audits and provide technical guidance to ensure compliance with established procedures

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
• Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
• Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 3 days per week. You will be required to report to 301 Fifth Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA an 2 days per week unless you are conducting business with a provider or business partner at their location. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Pittsburgh. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Three years of professional experience developing, implementing, or evaluating a human service program, and a bachelor’s degree; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.
