THE POSITION

Do you want to make a meaningful impact by supporting programs as a Human Services Program Representative 1 with the Department of Human Services? DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This role focuses on reviewing agency operations, evaluating program results, and supporting efforts that improve services for children, youth, and families. You will analyze data, review safety concerns, and work with agencies to strengthen compliance with state and federal requirements. As a Human Services Program Representative 1, you will perform the following duties:

  • Agency Evaluation: Conduct surveys and reviews of public and private agencies to assess service quality and program achievement
  • Safety Review: Analyze allegations of child abuse, review fatality cases, and prepare reports to support protective service efforts
  • Program Analysis: Assess compliance with state and federal requirements and evaluate plans, contracts, and reimbursement requests

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to three days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Scranton. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Three years of professional experience developing, implementing, or evaluating a human service program, and a bachelor's degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
