The U.S. Army Civilian Human Resources Agency in Georgia (Hinesville) seeks a qualified HR Specialist to provide a full range of human resources services for managers and employees, advise on complex personnel issues, and support staffing, pay administration, training, benefits, and labor relations.

The role requires applying regulatory compliance knowledge to resolve routine and complex issues and supervising a team of lower graded HR staff as needed.

Qualifications

  • 18 months or more of work experience in a human resources office.
  • Experience with two or more HR competencies: Staffing, Recruitment, Position Classification, Management Employee Relations, Labor Relations or Training.
  • Experience analyzing, evaluating and recommending resolutions to HR problems.
  • Ability to work with various HR information systems.

Job description

  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one-year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • This is a CHRA NAF Career Path II position. Incumbent must complete the requirements for CHRA NAF Career Path II within twenty-four (24) months of placement into the position.

A Qualified Candidate Must Possess The Following
  • Possess eighteen (18) months or more of work experience in a human resources office which demonstrates knowledge of at least two of the following functional human resources competencies: Staffing, Recruitment, Position Classification, Management Employee Relations, Labor Relations, or Training.
  • Experience analyzing, evaluating and recommending appropriate resolutions to complex interrelated Human Resources problems and issues.
  • Possess prior experience using Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to work with a variety of human resources information systems.

The related work experience must have been equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower pay band (NF-03).

In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": Possess twelve (12) months of prior work experience in a NAF Human Resources Office and have completed CHRA NAF Career Path I.
