Position Overview:

The HR Specialist will support and enhance all human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, compliance, and employee engagement. This role requires a proactive, organized, and compassionate professional who thrives in a remote, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
  2. Maintain HR records and ensure compliance with regulations.
  3. Administer benefits enrollment and support employee inquiries regarding health insurance, 401(k), leave policies, and more.
  4. Partner with leadership on employee engagement initiatives and performance management.
  5. Support policy development and revisions, ensuring the employee handbook and HR policies stay current.
  6. Coordinate training and development programs.
  7. Handle sensitive employee relations matters with professionalism and discretion.
  8. Assist with payroll coordination and HR data reporting.

Qualifications:

  • 2–5 years of HR experience, preferably in remote or distributed environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable working independently and across teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., Gusto, BambooHR, Rippling) is a plus.
  • HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) is a bonus but not required.
