Job summary

Boyd Gaming Corporation is hiring an entry-level HR Assistant for the Michigan City property. Shifts run Wednesday through Sunday from 2pm to 10pm CST. Responsibilities include HR data entry, audits, customer service, and report writing under the HR Director's guidance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 1 year of HR experience preferred.
• Knowledge of automated HRIS systems preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; intermediate Word & Excel.
• Good written and verbal communication; maintain confidentiality per EEO guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by responding to HR inquiries per policy (HRIS, Employee Relations, Compensation, Training & Development).
• Research for special projects for HR Director by gathering data and summarizing results.
• Assist in ensuring data integrity of HR systems via audits and reporting.
• Perform data maintenance and corrections in HR systems.
• Assist with maintenance and revisions of HR training manuals and other documentation.
• Develop timely and accurate ad-hoc reports.
• Assist in training property HR staff on HR processes and systems.
• Assist with records maintenance.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Description

PLEASE NOTE: The hours of this position are Wednesday through Sunday 2pm to 10pm CST.

Assists with the overall Human Resources Departmental operations by providing assistance and support with project‑oriented responsibilities and performing routine tasks and duties such as data entry and audits, customer service, report writing and research.

This is an entry level position. Starting pay is between $15.95 - $19.95/per hour.

• Provide excellent customer service by responding to requests for information through understanding of policies and practices within his/her prescribed HR function (i.e. HRIS, Employee Relations, Compensation, Training & Development, etc.).
• Perform research for special projects as directed by Human Resources Director by gathering relevant data and preparing and summarizing results.
• Assist in ensuring data integrity of HR systems by performing compliance audits and writing and summarizing reports.
• Perform data maintenance and make necessary corrections in the various HR systems.
• Assist with maintenance and revisions of HR training manuals and other documentation.

• Assists with providing training to property HR staff on various HR processes and systems.
• Assist with records maintenance.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• One (1) year of previous experience in Human Resources preferred.
• Knowledge of automated HRIS systems preferred.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Intermediate level Word and Excel skills required.
• Good written and verbal communication skills required.
