Job summary

WhiteWater Express in Houston, TX is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager, Employee Experience to lead HR operations with a strong focus on employee relations, coaching, policy, and service delivery. This on-site, full-time role reports to senior HR leadership in a fast-growing multi-state organization.

You will guide the HR representative team, escalate complex people matters, and help build consistent practices across the field and corporate teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive HR experience with depth in employee relations.
• Broad generalist experience across leave, ADA, payroll, benefits, compliance, policy, and HR operations.
• Experience leading or developing HR professionals and improving consistency of work.
• Knowledge of federal and multi-state employment requirements and when to involve counsel.
• Strong investigation, documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to build structure without adding unnecessary process.

Human Resources Manager, Employee Experience

Houston, TX | Full-Time | On-Site |$95,000- $105,000 + bonus

THE OPPORTUNITY

WhiteWater Express is looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager, Employee Experience who can move comfortably between complex employee situations and the systems and practices that shape the employee experience. This is a broad, hands-on leadership role with meaningful depth in employee relations, manager coaching, policy, employee feedback, and HR service delivery.

You will lead and develop our HR representative team, serve as the escalation point for difficult people matters, and help build consistent practices for a growing, multi-state organization. Talent acquisition and HR specialty programs are supported through separate functional ownership, allowing this role to focus on employee relations, employee support, manager capability, retention insights, and a reliable employee experience.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN

• Lead, coach, and develop the HR representative team while helping manage regional workload and priorities.
• Guide complex employee relations matters, investigations, performance issues, corrective action, and terminations.
• Maintain broad working knowledge of HR programs to answer general questions, recognize concerns, and appropriately route or escalat**e** matters to the responsible functional owner.
• Own employee concern intake and HR case-management standards, including triage, documentation, escalation, follow-through, and closure.
• Own exit interview practices and use employee feedback, turnover, and ER data to identify trends and recommend retention and employee-experience improvements.
• Create and improve practical policies, SOPs, manager tools, templates, controls, and HR workflows.
• Spot risk, identify patterns, and strengthen manager capability through practical guidance, tools, communication, and training.
• Build credible partnerships with field leaders and corporate teams across a fast-moving organization.

WHAT YOU BRING

• At least seven (7) years of progressive HR experience with meaningful depth in complex employee relations.
• Broad generalist experience across leave and ADA, payroll, compensation, benefits, compliance, policy, and HR operations.
• Experience leading or developing HR professionals and improving the quality and consistency of their work.
• Practical knowledge of federal and multi-state employment requirements and the judgment to know when to involve counsel.
• Strong investigation, documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to build structure without making the process heavier than the problem.
