Carevio Health is hiring an HR Manager to help build a fast-growing startup culture in Michigan. You will drive HR strategy, manage benefits, and lead recruitment, onboarding and engagement initiatives.

You will ensure policies comply with laws, maintain records, and partner with leadership to foster an inclusive, productive workplace. 3–5+ years in HR with startup exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of progressive HR experience, including management roles.
  • Experience with benefits administration and compliance.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to develop and implement HR policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
  • Startup or high-growth environment experience preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with company goals to support growth and scalability
  • Manage all aspects of benefits administration, including compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and employee engagement initiatives
  • Ensure HR policies and procedures are up-to-date and compliant with legal standards
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee relations, performance management, and conflict resolution
  • Maintain accurate HR records and generate reports to inform decision-making
  • Collaborate with leadership to foster a positive, inclusive, and productive work environment
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in human resources management, preferably within a startup or fast-paced environment
  • Strong knowledge of benefits administration and compliance regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to develop and implement HR policies and procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing needs
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; HR certification is a plus
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite

Requirements
  • 3–5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 1–2 years in an HR management or HR business partner role
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize competing deadlines, and adapt to changing business needs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels
  • Demonstrated experience with benefits administration, including health, dental, vision, retirement plans, leave programs, and benefits compliance
  • Experience working in a startup, high-growth, or fast-paced environment preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of federal and applicable state employment laws and regulations, including wage and hour, leave, workplace safety, anti-discrimination, and employee classification requirements
