Weelborg Auto is hiring a full-time Human Resources Manager in Redwood Falls, MN (onsite). In this role, you will build and run core people programs across payroll and benefits administration, recruitment and onboarding, compensation, performance management, employee relations, and EEO. The position also includes oversight of HR processes for compliance, records, and learning and development, with support across additional locations in Glencoe, New Ulm.

What you’ll do
- Oversee the benefits and payroll specialist to implement, maintain, and review payroll processing systems, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions, including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
- Ensure payroll updates are processed accurately and on time for new hires, terminations, and pay rate changes.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
- Support compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
- Facilitate audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
- Coordinate recruitment by identifying recruitment sources, managing job postings, evaluating candidates, conducting interviews, referring qualified candidates for further evaluation, extending offers, arranging background checks, and conducting new hire orientation.
- Assist with workers’ compensation and OSHA compliance, including monitoring claim progress through the carrier, supporting OSHA Logs and electronic submission, and preparing annual OSHA summary postings.
- Ensure legal compliance across HR areas, including Title VII, IRCA, ADA, FLSA, HIPAA, and OSHA, including monitoring processes, posting required notices, maintaining records, and supporting investigation and resolution of employee complaints.
- Manage HR-related records with appropriate confidentiality and limited access, including personnel records, employment selection process records, I-9 (IRCA), equal employment records, OSHA/workers compensation records, and records related to complaints and performance issues.
- Lead HR functions such as timecard processing, responding to HR questions, benefits enrollment, entering and processing new hire and termination information, managing background checks, supporting performance reviews, forms, policy updates, and conducting stay and exit interviews.
- Manage learning and development, including running reports, assigning training, and ensuring completion of assigned courses.
- Partner with management on employee relations strategy by conducting investigations into employee concerns and recommending next steps in a timely manner.
- Create weekly and monthly KPI reports for leadership, analyzing HR metrics, identifying unfavorable trends, and implementing corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate employee information in HRIS.
- Stay current through educational workshops, professional publications, research, networking, and participation in professional societies.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field preferred (emphasis in human resources, business management, or related field) or a combination of education and relevant work experience.
- PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
- 3 to 5 years of human resources management experience.
- 3 to 5 years of payroll processing experience.
- Knowledge of HR systems (HRIS) preferred.
- Bilingual preferred.
- Knowledge of policies and practices including recruitment, selection, compensation, job descriptions, non-discrimination, safety-security, promotion, discipline, performance management, and termination.
