Human Resources Manager (must live in thePerth Amboy)

Our client, a leading food manufacturing operation, is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to support HR functions and drive employee engagement across a multi-site environment. This role partners closely with leadership to ensure strong talent practices, a safe and inclusive culture, and alignment with business objectives. The position is full-time, onsite in Perth Amboy.

Responsibilities

• Promote a strong safety culture and hold leaders accountable for engagement and compliance.
• Drive employee engagement and support communication and change initiatives.
• Provide guidance on policy, performance management, and employee relations.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies.
• Conduct investigations and ensure compliance with employment laws and internal practices.
• Manage leave administration and ADA-related processes.
• Support labor relations and union-related matters.
• Maintain accurate and compliant HR records.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of HR experience, including 4+ years in a professional role.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws (ADA, FMLA, EEOC, etc.).
• Proven experience advising leaders on employee relations.
• SHRM certification preferred.
• Experience in union environments and affirmative action compliance is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; HRIS experience a plus.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Pay: Up to $120k.
