Base pay range

$100,000.00/yr - $130,000.00/yr

Job Summary

We’re looking for a strategic, empathetic, and hands-on HR Manager to lead and evolve our human resources function during an exciting time of growth. This role will manage all facets of HR operations—including talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and employee development. The ideal candidate is passionate about building a supportive and inclusive workplace culture that reflects Tata Harper’s core values of innovation, sustainability, and well-being. You will partner closely with leadership across departments to implement people-first strategies, drive engagement, and enhance organizational effectiveness. This is a key role in shaping the employee experience and ensuring our teams feel inspired, valued, and empowered to do their best work.

Principal Accountabilities

HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle

  • Oversee the full employee lifecycle including onboarding, offboarding, internal changes, and documentation.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HRIS and physical files.

Recruitment

  • Oversee the recruitment process, working with hiring managers and HR Team to ensure effective sourcing, interviewing, and hiring.
  • Monitor hiring timelines, provide guidance on role profiles, and ensure consistency with organizational standards and policies.

Benefits & Leave Administration

  • Administer employee benefits programs and manage employee leave, ensuring policy compliance and clear employee communication.

Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Address employee queries and support managers in handling day-to-day employee relations matters.
  • Ensure HR policies and practices comply with labor laws and company standards.

Performance Management & Development

  • Coordinate the performance review cycle and support managers in setting goals, delivering feedback, and identifying development opportunities.
  • Track employee training needs and help implement relevant learning programs.

Communication with Global HR (GHR)

  • Serve as the key contact between the local HR team and Global HR (GHR).
  • Ensure effective execution of global initiatives and provide local input to global programs and policy development.
  • Participate in regular alignment meetings and updates with HQ.

Culture & Engagement

  • Support programs that reinforce a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace.
  • Organize employee engagement initiatives and contribute to internal communications.
  • Ensure the HR delivers accurate and timely support across various cross functional teams.
  • Coordinate and participate in periodic travel to Vermont to connect with on-site teams and align on workforce initiatives
  • Support HR needs of the manufacturing and farm teams through regular communication and on-site collaboration
  • Partner with the President on strategic HR initiatives, talent development, and organizational planning
  • Provide strategic and operational HR support to Tata Harper’s global employee population.

Qualification and Experience

  • Experience 5-8+ years as a HR manager preferred
  • Experience in cosmetic industry preferred
  • Strong understanding of the concept and operation of global mobility
  • Proven ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across teams, with strong interpersonal skills to influence and persuade
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Excellent multitasking and project management skills
  • Leadership and mentoring skill
  • Excellent organizational skills and work ethic
  • BA or higher degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or equivalent experience required
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office tools.
