Job summary

Tews Company in Orlando, FL is seeking an experienced HR Manager to oversee day-to-day HR operations with a strong focus on employee relations, compliance, safety, and organizational effectiveness. You will partner with leadership and provide backup support for payroll and benefits while coaching managers on performance and policy application.

This role requires 3–5+ years of progressive HR experience, a Bachelor’s degree, and HRIS experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Psychology, or related field.
  • 3–5+ years of progressive HR experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, employee relations, and safety practices.
  • Experience with HRIS systems is required.
  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage employee relations matters, investigations, performance issues, corrective action, and separations.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, OSHA, COBRA, ACA, and Title VII.
  • Administer FMLA and ADA processes, including leave tracking, reasonable accommodations, and return-to-work coordination.
  • Manage workers’ compensation claims, workplace incidents, OSHA reporting, and safety initiatives.
  • Coach managers on employee relations, performance management, policy application, and HR best practices.
  • Conduct HR audits, risk assessments, and investigations; recommend and implement corrective actions.
  • Support performance management, employee development, training, succession planning, and organizational initiatives.
  • Maintain HR policies, procedures, and job descriptions to ensure compliance and alignment with business needs.
  • Support compliant recruiting, onboarding, and employee orientation processes.
  • Provide backup support for payroll, benefits, and other HR operations as needed.

  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP preferred.
