Our client is a leading food manufacturing company, seeking a dedicated and results-oriented Human Resources Manager to direct all HR operations at their Mebane, NC facility. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day HR functions—including compliance, employee relations, and talent acquisition—while developing and executing a strategic HR roadmap to support the company’s long-term growth. Role Responsibilities
HR Operations & Compliance
- Manage end-to-end talent acquisition, including recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding, with focus on production and technical roles.
- Administer and ensure compliance across all HR functions: compensation, benefits, payroll coordination, and confidential records management.
- Serve as the primary resource for employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions, ensuring consistent application of company policy and labor law.
- Ensure full compliance with federal, North Carolina, and local employment laws and regulations, including OSHA and wage/hour statutes.
Strategic Workforce & Organizational Development
- Partner with senior leadership to develop and implement a 5–10 year HR roadmap supporting facility expansion and production growth.
- Conduct workforce planning and forecasting to proactively identify talent needs and design scalable pipelines for key roles.
- Implement performance management and succession planning processes to foster internal talent development and leadership continuity.
- Leverage HR data and metrics (turnover, absenteeism, labor costs) to inform strategic decisions and optimize labor efficiency.
Culture, Engagement & Cross-Functional Partnership
- Champion a positive, safe, and inclusive culture, leading employee engagement initiatives across all shifts and departments.
- Collaborate with Operations, Safety, and Quality departments to align HR strategies with plant objectives, including continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Oversee employee training and development programs to ensure workforce capability meets operational demands.
Project Management
- Lead HR-related projects, including HRIS implementation, policy rollouts, training initiatives, and organizational restructuring.
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring on-time, on-budget completion.
- Develop and manage project communications to keep employees and leaders informed of progress and changes.
What We’re Looking For
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in a management capacity within a manufacturing environment.
