Job summary

Hotel Forty Five seeks an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead day-to-day HR operations and partner with hotel leadership. You will guide employee relations, performance management, investigations, recruiting, onboarding, and compliance across the property.

You will collaborate with department leaders on staffing, orientation, training, and payroll support, while promoting a positive workplace culture and ensuring legal and policy adherence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of progressive HR experience, preferably in hospitality.
  • Experience managing employee relations, investigations, recruiting, onboarding, and performance management.
  • Experience with Marriott-branded properties preferred.
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification ideal but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary Human Resources partner for hotel leadership and associates.
  • Provide guidance to managers on employee relations, performance management, coaching, investigations and conflict resolution.
  • Conduct workplace investigations and administer disciplinary actions and terminations in line with policies and laws.
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment: sourcing, interviewing, hiring, onboarding.
  • Coordinate new hire orientation, compliance training, and leadership development.
  • Ensure timely performance evaluations and coach on feedback.
  • Interpret and apply policies while ensuring legal compliance.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and documentation.
  • Partner with corporate HR on leave, benefits, compensation, and other HR initiatives.
  • Support payroll actions and ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Monitor compliance with employment laws and maintain postings/records.
  • Plan engagement, recognition, wellness, and culture-building initiatives.
  • Analyze turnover and staffing trends for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain confidentiality with sensitive information.
  • Perform other HR duties as assigned.

This role serves as a trusted partner to hotel leadership, providing guidance on employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, compliance, and employee engagement. The ideal candidate is an approachable, hands-on HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment, builds strong relationships with leaders and associates, and is committed to creating a positive workplace culture while ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies.**What you have*** Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred.* Minimum of three (3) years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably in hospitality, hotels, resorts, or service-focused industries.* Experience managing employee relations, investigations, recruiting, onboarding, and performance management required.* Experience supporting a Marriott-branded property or other branded hotel is preferred.* Ability to communicate effectively in person, over the telephone, and through written correspondence.
