Job summary

Tribute Portfolio in Macon, GA is seeking an experienced HR Manager to serve as the primary HR partner for hotel leadership and associates. You will guide employee relations, recruitment, onboarding and performance management to ensure a compliant, high-performing workplace.

This on-site role requires strong communication, organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities while supporting hotel operations and culture initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Admin, Hospitality Management, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of progressive HR experience, preferably in hospitality, hotels, resorts, or service-focused industries.
  • Experience managing employee relations, investigations, recruiting, onboarding, and performance management required.
  • Experience supporting a Marriott-branded property or other branded hotel is preferred.
  • SHRM-CP, or PHR certification, ideal but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary Human Resources partner for hotel leadership and associates.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers on employee relations matters, including coaching, performance management, corrective action, investigations, and conflict resolution.
  • Conduct workplace investigations and administer disciplinary actions and employment terminations in accordance with Mainsail's policies and applicable employment laws.
  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing, selecting, hiring, and onboarding new associates.
  • Partner with department leaders to identify staffing needs and implement effective recruiting strategies.
  • Coordinate and facilitate new hire orientation, compliance training, leadership development, and other learning initiatives.
  • Ensure timely completion of performance evaluations and coach managers on providing meaningful performance feedback.
  • Interpret and consistently apply company policies, procedures, and employment practices while ensuring legal compliance.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with corporate HR on leave administration, accommodations, benefits, compensation, and other HR initiatives.
  • Support payroll processes by ensuring personnel actions are processed accurately and on time.
  • Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and maintain required workplace postings and records.
  • Plan and execute employee engagement, recognition, wellness, and culture-building initiatives that promote associate satisfaction and retention.
  • Analyze turnover, staffing, and engagement trends and recommend strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive employee and business information.
  • Perform other Human Resources duties as assigned.

What You Have

Physical Demand
  • Ability to work on-site in a hotel environment.
  • Ability to move throughout the property for extended periods, including guest and associate areas.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, bend, reach, and use hands to operate office equipment.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to travel on occasion for meetings
