Job summary

Stella Jones Corporation is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to support the launch and ongoing operations of our Fayetteville facility. This role leads HR activities as a strategic and hands-on partner to plant leadership, Corporate HR, supervisors, and employees.

You will build a safe, inclusive, and high-performing workplace by leading workforce planning, recruitment, employee relations, training, performance management, compliance, and engagement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field with 5+ years HR management experience; or 8+ years HR management without degree.
  • Experience in manufacturing/plant/environment preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of employee relations, recruitment, performance management, training, compensation, benefits, HR compliance, and HRIS administration.
  • Experience supporting plant start-up, expansion, or growth preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and administer HR processes, policies, and programs for the facility.
  • Partner with plant and corporate leadership to align HR strategies with business goals.
  • Develop workforce plans to support plant start-up, growth, and operations.
  • Lead recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and talent development for hourly, skilled trades, supervisory, and salaried roles.
  • Build relationships with staffing agencies, schools, and community partners.
  • Coach managers on employee relations, attendance, performance management, policy interpretation, and leadership practices.
  • Address employee concerns, conduct investigations, and recommend corrective action.
  • Promote consistent and fair application of company policies.
  • Support employee engagement, retention, communication, and organizational development.
  • Coordinate new-hire orientation, compliance training, job-specific training, and leadership development.
  • Administer performance management processes and support goal setting and feedback.
  • Partner with Corporate HR on compensation, benefits, payroll, and other HR programs.
  • Maintain accurate HRIS data, personnel files, and records.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.
  • Partner with EHS to support safety, workers' compensation, incident reporting, and return-to-work processes.
  • Monitor workforce metrics and provide reports to leadership.
  • Support succession planning and front-line leadership development.
  • Represent the company at job fairs and recruiting events.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee and company information.
  • Supervise HR staff as applicable.

  • Partner with Environmental, Health, and Safety leadership to support workplace safety, workers' compensation, incident reporting, and return-to-work processes.
  • Monitor workforce metrics and provide reports and recommendations to plant and corporate leadership.
  • Support succession planning, career development, and front‑line leadership development.
  • Represent the company at job fairs, recruiting events, and community activities.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee, compensation, and business information.
  • Supervise HR staff, as applicable, including assigning work, providing coaching, conducting evaluations, and supporting hiring decisions.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field and five or more years of HR management experience; or eight to ten or more years of progressive HR management experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience in a manufacturing, plant, distribution, or operations‑focused environment preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of employee relations, recruitment, performance management, training, compensation, benefits, HR compliance, and HRIS administration.
  • Experience supporting plant start‑up, expansion, or growth preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach leaders, resolve sensitive issues, and build trust at all levels.
  • Ability to balance strategic planning with hands‑on execution in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proficiency with HRIS and Microsoft Office applications.
