Our client, Plastikos, is North America’s premier supplier of precision injection molded custom electronic and medical components. The company has specialized in solving the most difficult injection molding and moldmaking problems with in-house engineering, materials expertise, tight-tolerance molding, and precision tooling for over 40 years. Plastikos has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Human Resources Manager to join their Management Team. The Human Resources Manager will identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives that elevate the performance, effectiveness, and efficiency of the HR Department as well as the larger Plastikos Medical, Micro Mold & Plastikos Team. This is a hands-on leadership role with responsibility for the full HR function across multiple companies, physical sites, departments, and shifts.
Position Overview
The Human Resources Manager leads talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, compensation and benefits administration, employee relations, training, and development, HRIS data integrity, and employment compliance. As a member of the Management Team, this leader partners with executives, department managers, and employees to strengthen a high-performing, value-based culture that attracts, develops, and retains talented people.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Own the requisition and approval process, working with department managers to define role scope, success profiles, interview plans, and selection criteria.
- Lead the interview and selection process, manage offers and declines, maintain compliant records, and support workforce planning across all shifts and sites.
- Oversee new-hire orientation and onboarding, including I-9 and E-Verify compliance, benefits and tax documentation, system access, and accurate payroll setup.
- Attend job fairs and build relationships with local schools and community organizations to strengthen the talent pipeline.
Performance Management & Development
- Administer the performance review cycle and coach managers and supervisors on effective feedback, documentation, performance improvement plans, and accountability.
- Maintain training matrices and coordinate required safety, quality, ISO, and professional development training.
- Identify leadership development needs and support coaching, Culture Index, Working Genius, and other development initiatives that improve leadership and employee performance.
Compensation Benefits & Leave Administration
- Oversee compensation changes, annual merit and cost-of-living review cycles, job descriptions, and internal pay ranges in alignment with budget and policy.
- Lead benefits strategy and broker relationships while guiding day-to-day administration of medical, dental, vision, life, disability, FSA, DCA, and open enrollment programs.
- Support 401(k) administration and annual testing with Accounting and external providers, and oversee compliant administration of FMLA, ADA, workers’ compensation, and return-to-work matters.
Employee Relations & Organizational Effectiveness
- Serve as a trusted resource for employees and managers; conduct investigations, document findings and resolutions, and manage consistent disciplinary processes.
- Partner with leadership on employee engagement, retention, workforce planning, succession planning, career development, and organizational change.
- Coordinate recognition programs, engagement surveys, internal communications, and follow-up action plans that strengthen culture and morale.
Compliance Risk & HR Operations
- Maintain the Employee Handbook and HR policies, monitor employment-law developments, and implement required policy, process, notice, and training updates.
- Lead HR compliance audits covering personnel records, I-9 documentation, wage and hour practices, training records, and employment practices; resolve findings promptly.
- Oversee affirmative action planning, EEO and VETS reporting, employment-law guidance, safety communications, workers’ compensation coordination, and organizational risk mitigation.
- Protect the accuracy and confidentiality of HRIS, personnel, medical, and training records while producing reliable metrics and regulatory reports.
- Collaborate with Accounting, Quality and Regulatory, Operations, EHS, and IT to improve data integrity, reduce cycle time, and strengthen employee experience.
- Standardizing HR workflows, forms, templates, procedures, and other documentation; leads improvement initiatives that reduce errors and increase efficiency.
- Use employee feedback, performance data, turnover measures, and engagement results to recommend improvements that support business objectives.

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with emphasis on Human Resource Management.
- Maintains PHR/SPHR Certification and/or other advanced HR coursework.
- Minimum 10 years’ Human Resources experience.
- Provides effective leadership and supports a team that spans multiple physical sites (Micro Mold, Plastikos & Plastikos Medical), multiple departments, all shifts (i.e., 24 hours).
- Proven management success with the ability to plan, direct, control the activities of others and hold self and others accountable to meet performance expectations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general computer skills.
