Job summary

The Westin at Frenchman’s Reef is seeking a Human Resources Manager to lead our HR department in a hospitality setting in St. Thomas. You will develop and execute HR strategies, attract and retain top talent, and ensure compliance with employment laws.

In this role, you will drive employee engagement, performance management, training, and employee relations, partnering with all departments to maintain a positive work culture in a luxury resort environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; HR experience may be considered in lieu.
• Strong and effective communication skills are essential.
• Ability to interpret and advise property management according to employment laws.
• Experience with recruitment, retention and employment law is a must.
• Ability to manage a diversified workforce with confidentiality.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to change.
• Affirmative Action knowledge is helpful.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or minimum 4 years HR experience, prior hotel experience preferred
• Strong and effective communication skills
• Ability to interpret and advise property management according to employment laws of jurisdiction
• Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other Team Members
• Strong employment law, recruiting and retention background a must
• Experience with Affirmae Action helpful
• Ability to manage a diversified workforce
• Demonstrates a high degree of confidentiality and common sense
• Ability to work in a stressful environment and remain flexible to constant change
