Job Summary

As the Human Resources Manager, you will lead associate relations, HR training, legal compliance, policy development, engagement survey action plans, performance and merit monitoring, hiring of non‑exempt associates, and bonus administration data management to support the business and its associates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure all company HR policies are applied consistently.
  • Objectively coach associates and management through complex issues and provide guidance on disciplinary action.
  • Oversee MyOpportunity for hourly recruitment and onboarding.
  • Maintain and coordinate associate recognition programs.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and state laws.
  • Run and/or review HR activity reports.
  • Support internal customer survey and associate engagement survey interpretation/feedback process.
  • Attend department manager meetings to increase HR visibility, conduct classroom training, provide assistance, and implement HR initiatives.
  • Review requests for pay increases or other status changes to ensure internal equity and consistency; process status change forms.
  • Prepare, coordinate, and present HR related topics and other training.
  • Act as the diversity champion, leading assigned tasks and corporate diversity activities including diversity recruiting, retention, and promotion goals.
  • Assist in creating Personal Development Plans for associates.
  • Participate in the Annual Performance Appraisal process.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • PHR or SPHR designation strongly preferred.
  • Three or more years of human resources generalist experience required; management experience a plus.
  • HR experience at a large, multi‑unit organization required.
  • Previous experience as part of a centralized HR environment, preferably in a corporate setting.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills; advanced skills preferred.
  • Experience responding to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or business community members.
  • Strong presentation skills required.
  • Training certification a plus (e.g., Zenger‑Miller, Stephen Covey).
