Job summary

Code and Theory is seeking an HR Intern to support our HR team across onboarding, offboarding, payroll, data reporting, and benefits administration. You will assist Generalists and work across Code and Theory and our subsidiary companies.

This internship offers exposure to the full HR lifecycle with hands-on training, learning from a talented team in a fast-paced, creative agency environment. You will gain experience with I-9 completion, employee files, and ad hoc HR projects as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain HR reporting, data entry and analysis.
• Assist HR generalists in onboarding new hires.
• Complete I-9 forms and verify documentation.
• Schedule exit interviews.
• Support data tracking related to performance reviews.
• Maintain active and terminated employee files per regulatory requirements.
• Assist or lead ad hoc HR projects in partnership with the CPO/HR Generalists.
• Collaborate with a passionate team and contribute to training.

Code and Theory is seeking an HR Intern to join our passionate, high-performing HR team. The HR Intern will support our Generalists in all aspects of the HR lifecycle (onboarding, offboarding, payroll, reporting, administration of benefits, etc) across Code and Theory and our subsidiary companies (Current, Rhythm, and Kettle). This is an opportunity to work with an incredible team who is passionate about what they do and to learn about all aspects of HR alongside the Generalists.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Prepare and maintain HR reporting, data entry, record keeping and analysis, as directed by the CPO or HR generalists

• Assist the HR generalists in onboarding new hires

• Complete I-9 forms and verify I-9 documentation

• Schedule all exit interviews

• Support data tracking related to performance reviews

• Maintain active and terminated employee files according to regulatory requirements

• Assist or lead ad hoc HR special projects in partnership with the CPO and/or HR Generalists

• Work with an incredible team who is passionate about what they do and willing to teach and train

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

• Strong to Advanced Excel and technical skills, and comfort managing spreadsheets and data

The target range of compensation for this role is an hourly rate of $19.00 - $22.00. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location.
