Job summary

MSD Malaysia is seeking Masters-level students for a full-time, 3-month internship in the Global Support Division in the United States. You will work on employee relations, talent strategies, HR operations projects, and diversity initiatives with a focus on analytics and learning programs.

The role requires on-site presence at a New Jersey or Pennsylvania campus, strong organizational and communication skills, and proficiency with MS Office. Prior internship is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled Masters’ level student in HR/IR/I-O Psychology/Business or related area.
• Must have completed at least 1 year of coursework by internship start.
• Ability to work full time on-site at one of our New Jersey or Pennsylvania campuses.
• Strong MS Office skills including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

Responsibilities

• Provide Employee Relations consultation to managers of U.S. non-bargaining staff.
• Support talent strategies including attraction, development and retention.
• Assist HR Operations projects involving planning, PM and communications.
• Contribute to Diversity & Inclusion initiatives and learning strategies.
• Involve in compensation analytics and workforce analytics initiatives.
• Support HR Business Partners on org change, analytics and project work.

Job Description The Future Talent Program features internships that last up to 12 weeks and will include one or more projects. These opportunities in our Global Support Division can provide you with great development and a chance to see if we are the right company for your long-term goals. The Human Resources organization seeks Masters’ level students in Human Resources Management, Industrial and Labor Relations, I/O Psychology, Business or relevant related area, for a full-time, 3-month internship.

Responsibilities

• Providing Employee Relations consultation, subject matter expertise, tools and resources to managers of U.S. non-bargaining employees on performance management/ improvement and conflict resolution matters.
• Participate in the execution of our company’s talent strategies and solutions, including talent attraction, development, and retention solutions.
• Participate on an HR Operations project related to a key program or project priority for HR, inclusive of strategic planning, project management and communications.
• Participate in the execution of key initiatives in support of the company’s Global Diversity & Inclusion strategy.
• Involvement in projects focused on compensation solutions for our company’s divisions and functions and/or use of workforce analytics to drive solutions to address business needs.
• Involvement in the ongoing reimagination, creation and planning of global learning strategies in support of unique client areas and geographies.
• Providing HR Business partner support to select areas of the business, in areas such as organization change, analytics, talent management and project management.

Required

• Currently enrolled Masters’ level student in the disciplines of Human Resources Management, Industrial and Labor Relations, I/O Psychology, Business or relevant related area, who has completed at least 1 year of coursework at time of internship
• Ability to work full time on-site at one of our New Jersey or Pennsylvania campuses
• High level of organization & attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Ability to work independently
• Skill in probing and proactively asking the right questions to get needed information

Preferred

• One previous internship completed or relevant work experience

Salary range: The salary range for this role is $39,908 - $111,111 USD FTP2027 GSF2027
