Qualifications

• B.S./B.A. in Human Resources or 3–5 years HR management experience required.
• Analytical and data-driven with strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead HR processes across recruitment, compliance, employee relations, and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Perform HR duties in accordance with policies and laws.
• Train employees and guide supervisors on work-related issues.

AMERICAN HEALTH SERVICES is hiring an on-site Human Resources Generalist in Santa Clarita, CA. This full-time role supports essential HR processes across recruitment, compliance, employee relations, credentialing, and benefits administration. You will report to the CEO and help strengthen HR service levels through reporting, data analysis, and practical improvements.

Why this role

In this position, you will support employees and managers while helping the organization stay aligned with current labor laws, government reporting requirements, and internal policies. The role also includes monthly reporting, KPI development, and countermeasure assignment to help drive performance targets. Team collaboration is built into day-to-day work, with support focused on safety, quality, cost, delivery, and morale.

Responsibilities

• Perform HR duties in accordance with company policies, procedures, and applicable laws
• Train employees and provide guidance to supervisors and employees on issues tied to work situations or the work environment
• Assist with employee complaints, problem resolution, and employee relations recommendations
• Coach management and employees on grievances and complaints, ensuring issues are resolved or escalated appropriately
• Analyze HR-related data and make recommendations to improve service levels across the HR footprint
• Create monthly reports, develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for critical HR areas, and assign countermeasures to reach performance targets
• Streamline and verify monthly tasks as required for compliance
• Identify legal requirements, current labor laws, and government reporting regulations affecting HR, ensuring policies, procedures, and reporting remain compliant
• Lead compliance efforts for employee files and monitor staff license and certification expiration dates
• Coordinate provider credentialing with health plans and monitor credentialing compliance
• Conduct recruitment activities and coordinate onboarding processes
• Support team members in achieving team goals (safety, quality, cost, delivery, and morale)
• Support employee engagement and retention programs
• Contribute to performance metrics and monitor performance evaluations
• Other duties as required

Requirements

• B.S./B.A. in Human Resources or a related discipline required, or a minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of management experience in HR

Schedule: Full Time, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Pay: $28.00 - $31.00 per hour
Travel: Occasional travel within Southern California
