Job summary

Mayville Engineering Company (MEC) in Neillsville, WI, is seeking a Human Resource Generalist to serve as a resource for employees and managers and to drive effective HR initiatives at our Neillsville facility.

Responsibilities include full-cycle recruitment for non-exempt roles, guidance on performance and discipline, policy implementation, and maintaining HR records in our HRIS. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree and at least three years of HR experience, preferably in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a resource for employees and managers; resolve employee concerns and prevent future problems.
• Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and conduct full-cycle recruitment for non-exempt positions at designated location(s).
• Provide guidance on performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
• Research and improve HR processes; assist in policy implementation and new programs.
• Deliver written communications and presentations on HR topics; develop and conduct trainings.
• Maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS and analyze HR reports for management.
• Partner with HR COEs (e.g. Payroll and Benefits) to resolve inquiries.
• Ensure confidentiality and security of employee data and records.
• Maintain compliance with federal and state employment regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned, including leading projects.

Human Resource Generalist – MEC Mayville Engineering Company (An MRA Member) Neillsville, WI

Job Responsibilities

1. Serves as a resource for employees and managers; recommends action within HR and/or to employees and managers; provides proactive resolution of employee concerns and problems with the goal of future problem prevention.
2. Collaborates with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies. Conducts full-cycle recruitment process, including job posting, candidate sourcing, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and extending offers primarily for non-exempt hourly and salary positions at designated location(s).
3. Provides guidance and counsel to managers and employees on HR-related matters, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
4. Researches, analyzes and develops recommendations for continuous improvement of HR processes, procedures or programs to deliver innovative solutions to meet needs; assists in the implementation of new or revised policies and procedures.
5. Delivers written communications and presentations to communicate concepts related to one or more functional HR areas for diverse audiences of employees; develops and conducts training and presentations.
6. Maintains accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HR information system, and analyzes HR reports and metrics, providing insights and recommendations to management.
7. Partners with HR centers of expertise (COE) (e.g. Payroll and Benefits) to resolve related employee inquiries.
8. Ensures the confidentiality and security of employee data and records.
9. Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
10. Performs other duties as assigned, which may include leading projects of varying scale or scope.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business or related discipline, or equivalent education and experience.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum three years of related professional human resources experience. Manufacturing experience preferred.

Certifications

• PHR or SPHR certifications preferred.
