Job summary

Loparex LLC in Malvern, PA is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support policy, staffing, benefits, compensation, records, reporting, and regulatory compliance at the Malvern site.

You will manage lifecycle recruitment, onboarding, orientation, leave administration, and employee relations in a manufacturing setting, partnering with the Sr. HR Manager to improve HR processes and ensure a safe, compliant workplace.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related discipline preferred.
• 3+ years HR Generalist in a progressive HR department.
• 3-5 years HR experience in a manufacturing environment.
• HR certification preferred (PHR, SPHR, SHRM CP/SCP).
• Experience with performance and talent management, onboarding, and exits.
• Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent writing skills for reports and communications.
• Experience in a union environment and collaboration.
• Solid understanding of FLSA, FMLA, COBRA, ADA, ACA.
• Understanding of health and welfare benefits.
• Knowledge of collective bargaining, state & federal laws.
• MS Office capabilities.
• Ability to wear PPE.

Human Resources (HR) Generalist - Malvern, PA

Loparex LLC is the world's largest manufacturer of extrusion base and silicone coated release liners for the converting industry. We have manufacturing operations throughout the U.S., Europe, China, and India. We are currently looking for a Human Resources Generalist for our Malvern, PA site.

The Human Resources Generalist enables the business to function properly and continuously improve by providing support in areas of Human Resources to include policy, staffing, benefits and compensation, records management, reporting, union guidance, administration, and legal/regulatory compliance.

Duties

• In collaboration with the Sr. HR Manager responds to all employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, HR policies and procedures.
• Maintains up-to-date and compliant employee files and HR information.
• Recommends innovative approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the business.
• Assists with clerical aspects of employment, such as obtaining signed offer letters, notifying the department of employee's starting date, process workflow, and assist in onboarding tasks.
• Participates in the development and delivery of the New Hire Orientation Program.
• Coordinates and/or supports organizational training and development activities.
• Responsible for processing benefit plan enrollments, changes and terminations; coordinates with HR colleagues, payroll, and benefits providers; acts as a liaison between employees and providers in cases of enrollment or claims discrepancies.
• Participates in annual open enrollment planning meetings; participates in employee enrollment meetings, preparation of materials.
• Assists with the timely and compliant management of leaves (Disability/FMLA).
• Audits employee personnel files and records for suitable content and legal compliance.
• Maintains job description inventory.
• Coordinate the full life-cycle recruitment, evaluation, selection and onboarding processes of new talent based on needs of the business/plant.
• Research sources for viable candidates and establishes rapport with all sources (such as schools with applicable programs, competitors, area employers, professional associations, etc.). Attends job fairs and careers events.
• Assists in planning and supporting employee engagement and celebration events at the site.
• Participate in projects and other administrative duties as requested.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Industrial Organization or related discipline preferred
• Three (3) or more years of HR Generalist experience within a progressive Human Resources department
• Three (3) to five (5) years previous HR experience in a manufacturing environment
• HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM CP/SCP) preferred
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with performance and talent management, policy interpretation, talent acquisition, onboarding and exits/separations
• Outstanding presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Superior writing skills to support correspondence, reports, and employee communications
• Experience effectively working in a union environment that emphasizes collaboration and trust
• Solid understanding of employee law fundamentals (FLSA, FMLA, COBRA, ADA, ACA, etc.)
• Solid understanding of employee health and welfare benefits, including plan documentation
• Solid understanding of collective bargaining, state & federal laws
• Solid understanding of basic compensation processes
• Demonstrated solid capabilities in MS Office software
• Must have the ability to wear personal protective equipment, including ear plugs, safety glasses, and steel toe shoes.
