Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist for a direct hire opportunity in Fresno, CA. This full-time role is ideal for an HR professional with strong employee relations, workplace investigation, employment law compliance, and litigation support experience.

The Human Resources Generalist will partner closely with leadership, employees, legal counsel, insurance carriers, and third‑party administrators to support a diverse workforce and help reduce organizational risk. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide HR guidance to managers and employees regarding policies, procedures, employee relations, and employment practices.
  • Conduct workplace investigations involving complaints, policy violations, disciplinary matters, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and other sensitive concerns.
  • Partner with legal counsel on employment‑related claims, litigation matters, wrongful termination issues, wage and hour concerns, and workers' compensation cases.
  • Manage leave administration, including FMLA, ADA, workers' compensation, and related documentation and communications.
  • Support recruiting, onboarding, new hire orientation, employee engagement, retention, performance management, and training initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, HRIS data, personnel files, and confidential documentation while supporting payroll and benefits administration as needed.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Salary range: $83,200 to $90,000 per year.
  • Job type: Direct hire.
  • Schedule: Full-time.

Required Qualifications and Skills
  • 3 or more years of Human Resources experience.
  • Experience conducting workplace investigations and resolving employee relations issues.
  • Experience supporting employment litigation, legal requests, legal compliance, or employment‑related claims.
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
  • Strong understanding of confidentiality requirements and sensitive employee matters.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, problem‑solving, documentation, and follow‑up skills.
  • Professional judgment, discretion, integrity, and the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification.
  • Experience with California employment law.
  • Experience handling workers' compensation claims, litigated claims, and wrongful termination matters.
  • Experience communicating directly with attorneys, insurance carriers, third‑party administrators, and legal counsel.
