The HR Manager will support all day‑to‑day human resources functions for a small but rapidly growing manufacturing organization. This role blends tactical HR responsibilities with opportunities to build scalable processes as the company expands. Key Responsibilities
- Employee Relations — Serve as a trusted resource for employees and supervisors, addressing concerns, coaching managers, and supporting a positive workplace culture.
- Onboarding — Assist recruiting team with onboarding new employees.
- HR Compliance — Ensure adherence to federal and state employment laws, maintain personnel files, support audits, and update policies as needed.
- Payroll & Benefits Administration — Assist with payroll processing, benefits enrollment, employee changes, and vendor communication.
- Training & Development — Support safety training, skills development, and supervisor coaching programs tailored to manufacturing operations.
- Performance Management — Coordinate reviews, track goals, and assist managers with documentation and improvement plans.
- HR Reporting — Maintain HR metrics including turnover, attendance, recruiting activity, and workforce planning.
- Culture & Engagement — Help design initiatives that strengthen communication, recognition, and retention across production teams.
- Safety & Workforce Support — Partner with operations to reinforce safety protocols, support incident reporting, and assist with workers’ compensation claims.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (preferred).
- 5+ years of HR experience, ideally in manufacturing, production, or industrial environments.
- Strong understanding of employment law, HR best practices, and compliance requirements.
- Experience supporting hourly workforce populations.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems, timekeeping platforms, and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and relationship‑building skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑growing, hands‑on environment.
