Job summary

Haugland Virgin Islands seeks a Human Resources Generalist to support all HR operations across the organization, based in St. Thomas, USVI. The HR Generalist will handle recruitment, onboarding, benefits, and employee relations, while maintaining HRIS data and policy compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
• Minimum of 3 years of progressive HR experience supporting recruitment, onboarding, employee relations and benefits administration.
• Working knowledge of employment laws, compliance requirements, and HR best practices.
• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR or equivalent certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage full recruitment lifecycle including sourcing, screening, interviewing, hiring and onboarding employees.
• Administer employee benefits programs and serve as the primary point of contact for benefit inquiries.
• Maintain HR policies, employee records and ensure compliance with federal, territorial, and company regulations.
• Support employee relations, performance management, disciplinary processes and conflict resolution.
• Develop and coordinate employee engagement, recognition, retention and wellness initiatives.
• Assist with workforce planning, training and development, and organizational growth.
• Maintain HRIS data, prepare HR reports and ensure confidentiality of personnel records.
• Partner with leadership to promote a positive, productive, employee-focused culture.

KeyFunctions:
