The role focuses half of time on recruiting, with monthly travel to Raleigh, and requires at least four years in engineering, manufacturing, or construction-adjacent industries. The Generalist will implement policies, support employee relations, onboarding, and training while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for critical roles and partner with Hiring Managers to identify talent needs.
  • Coordinate interviews, gather feedback, and assist with offer letters.
  • Serve as main point of contact for candidates and employees, fostering relationships.
  • Assist in onboarding new employees and ensuring they feel welcomed.
  • Interpret and guide policies and procedures and stay compliant with regulations.
  • Support employee relations, documentation, and investigations with HR leadership.
  • Conduct stay and exit interviews and report data.
  • Create, administer, and provide in-house training programs.
  • Maintain understanding of employment laws and HR best practices.

Opportunity: Human Resources Generalist

iSuite L.L.C. is seeking a qualified professional to join our Human Resources team. iSuite is a business support services organization formed in 2023. The organization provides business development and pursuit, estimating, safety, accounting, human resources, information technology, marketing, and training services to clients within the Architecture, Engineering, Construction (A/E/C) industry.

This shared‑services company supports the IMI business units and provides a uniform, employee‑based culture founded on our Support the Build mentality. This mentality aligns with our employee‑owned company so that all personnel take an owner’s mindset approach to our business. iSuite is headquartered in Nashville, TN and has branches in Granite City, IL, Chesterfield, MO and Charlotte, NC.

We are currently looking for a Human Resources Generalist to join our Human Resources team located at our office in Charlotte, NC. Our ideal candidate for a Human Resources Generalist is someone who has at least 4 years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, or construction adjacent industries. This individual is a self‑starter who thrives in a team environment and enjoys collaborating with leaders, employees, and candidates across the organization. Strong interpersonal skills are essential, as this role partners closely with multiple departments and company leadership. We are seeking someone personable, highly energetic, and brings a strong sense of ownership and leadership to their work. This role will spend approximately 50% of their time on recruitment activities and will include a monthly trip to our Raleigh, NC location.

Primary Responsibilities For ISuite’s Human Resources Generalist Include
  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for critical roles, including partnering with Hiring Managers to identify talent needs, developing job descriptions and requirements, building and executing sourcing strategies aligned with market trends, and leveraging multiple channels such as job boards, social media, career fairs, in‑person events, and external recruiters (as needed).
  • Coordinating interviews, gathering feedback on candidates, assisting with offer letter development and negotiation.
  • Serving as a company advocate and the main point of contact for all candidates and current employees. This includes fostering good relationships with potential candidates, and current employees to answer questions regarding the interview process, company policies, benefits, company core values, etc.
  • Assisting with developing and onboarding new employees to ensure they feel welcome and prepared with the tools and resources they need to be successful in their new role.
  • Assists in developing and implementing policies and procedures; interprets, explains, and provides guidance on policies and procedures as well as state and federal regulations.
  • Support the HR Director with employee relations by supporting conversations about performance or behavior, documentation, and participating in investigations.
  • Complete employee stay and exit interviews; compile and report all data collected from interviews.
  • Create, administer, and provide in‑house training programs for human resources.
  • Through ongoing and continued education, develop and maintain an essential understanding of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices (Title VII, FLSA, ADA, Leaves of Absence, STD/LTD, FMLA, USERRA, WC, etc.)
  • Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
  • Designing, implementing, and updating Human Resource programs and processes to best achieve the organization’s objectives. Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department and services performed.
Primary Qualifications For ISuite’s Human Resources Generalist Include
  • At least four years of experience in Talent Acquisition, Recruiting, Onboarding, and/or Human Resources is preferred. Union experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or another related field.
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or SHRM‑Certified Professional (SHRM‑CP) is preferred.
  • Knowledge of North Carolina employment law is required.
  • Ability to travel monthly to our Raleigh, NC office to support business needs and maintain cross‑location collaboration. Occasional quarterly travel to other office locations as needed.
  • Possessing exceptional communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organization, planning skills, and change management abilities.
  • Ability to work within an environment with deadlines, and when tasked with multiple duties your attention to detail stays consistent.
  • Strong computer skills and an in‑depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows‑based programs are required.
  • Having the ability to work under pressure within a fast‑paced environment.
  • Demonstrate a creative, efficient, and solution‑based mindset.
  • Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of human resources work is required.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems and HRIS is a plus.
  • Experience in the construction industry is a plus.
  • Experience with the LinkedIn Recruiter platform is a plus.
Compensation And Benefits
  • Salary Range: $75,000 - $90,000
