Mesa Verde Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support the day-to-day operations of the HR Department onsite in Alamogordo, NM. In this role, you’ll coordinate key people programs while partnering closely with HR leadership and other teams to keep HR processes accurate, compliant, and employee-focused. Compensation: $45,000 to $52,000 per year (USD).

Responsibilities
- Coordinate day-to-day administration of employee benefit programs, including processing benefit enrollments, qualifying life events, and separations.
- Complete monthly benefits reconciliations and partner with Payroll to help ensure deduction accuracy.
- Support annual open enrollment activities.
- Coordinate recruitment activities for open positions, including working with the marketing department to advertise roles.
- Schedule interviews and coordinate candidate communications.
- Coordinate onboarding and orientation processes, including ensuring completion of employment documentation.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee questions regarding policies and programs.
- Assist with employee relations matters and workplace concerns, including supporting investigations through fact gathering and documentation.
- Assist with employee engagement and recognition initiatives.
- Maintain employee records and HRIS data, process employee status changes and employment transactions, and conduct periodic audits of personnel files.
- Prepare routine HR reports and workforce metrics.
- Support compliance with employment laws and company policies while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Facilitate workforce training program needs, including maintaining training records, certifications, and qualification documentation.
- Support leadership development initiatives and performance management programs.

Requirements
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in Human Resources, benefits administration, employee relations, workforce development, or a related field.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and discretion.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively utilize artificial intelligence (AI) tools to improve productivity, research, communication, analysis, and administrative efficiency.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Education & Physical Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional coursework, professional certifications, or post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, or a related field is beneficial but not required.
- Must be able to remain seated or stationary for extended periods while performing office-based work.
- Must be able to lift and carry files and office supplies up to 25 pounds.
- Periodic travel between company locations and field visits may be required.
