Job summary

American Family Insurance Group in Honolulu seeks an HR Generalist to support policies, data management, onboarding, and employee inquiries. You will partner with HRBPs and ensure compliance across HR systems.

The role requires 3–5 years in HR, a BA degree, strong communication, and confidentiality. Experience with HR laws is valued, and the team emphasizes accuracy and service-minded support for staff.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in Human Resources.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of skills and experience.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
  • Subject matter expertise in HR laws and compliance.
  • Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Service mindset; enthusiastic about answering employee questions and improving clarity.
  • Highly organized, detail‑oriented, excellent time‑management skills; able to prioritize in a fast‑paced environment.

  • Assist with employee communication for the HR team.
  • Support HR Business Partners as needed.
  • Support reporting and data requests.
  • Complete and manage unemployment claims.
  • Coordinate new hire orientation and onboarding, including preparing new hire paperwork and I‑9 documentation.

Minimum Physical Requirements
