Position Overview

We are seeking an autonomous, forward-thinking Human Resources Director to serve as a strategic builder and hands-on leader for our growing organization. Operating as a true department of one to start, you will take full ownership of the HR function—developing core processes, launching long-term talent initiatives, managing daily employee relations, and establishing the infrastructure to scale an HR team as the company expands.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, combines strategic vision with tactical execution, and embodies a culture-first mindset that balances organizational growth with employee recognition and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • HR Infrastructure & Strategy: Design, implement, and oversee core HR programs, policies, and scalable processes across the organization from the ground up.
  • Employee Relations & Culture: Serve as a trusted partner for employees and leadership; foster a high-performance, team-oriented culture through employee recognition, annual events, and proactive conflict resolution.
  • Full-Lifecycle Execution: Manage day-to-day HR operations independently while driving key long-term initiatives from concept to completion.
  • Team Building & Growth: Lay the foundation to build, mentor, and expand a high-performing HR team as organizational needs evolve.
  • HRIS & Administration: Partner with external HRIS liaisons to maintain records and streamline administrative processes (opportunities for ongoing training and UKG certification provided).
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Proven HR Leadership: Demonstrated experience leading HR functions, developing organizational infrastructure, and executing projects independently with minimal oversight.
  • Strong Employee Relations: Deep expertise in employee relations, conflict management, and workplace culture development.
  • Adaptability & Drive: High autonomy, a self-starter attitude, and comfort wearing multiple hats in a growth-focused environment.
  • Location: Based in or near Nashville, TN, with ability to work a hybrid schedule (2–3 days in office weekly, with potential for full-time on-site).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior HR experience in multi-unit, restaurant, or fast-growing hospitality environments.
  • Hands-on experience with modern HRIS systems (UKG experience or interest in obtaining certification is a plus).
  • Base Salary: $125,000 – $150,000 per year
  • Bonus: Eligible for up to a 25% annual performance bonus
  • Retirement: 401(k) with up to 4% company match
  • Health & Wellness: Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage
