Job summary

Our client in Nashville, TN is seeking a direct-hire HR Manager to lead the full HR lifecycle, including recruiting, onboarding, benefits, compliance, ER, training, and culture. Preference for a background in construction or manufacturing with Paylocity experience.

The role requires 5+ years in HR, with at least 2 years in a management capacity, and a Bachelor’s degree (SHRM preferred). Office-based, salary range $90,000–$100,000.

Qualifications

• 5+ years HR experience with at least 2 of those years in a management role.
• Paylocity experience is required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, SHRM certification highly preferred.
• Industry background in construction, manufacturing, or skilled trades required.

Responsibilities

• Lead all facets of the employee lifecycle, including full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, organizational changes, employee development, and offboarding.
• Serve as the trusted HR business partner to leaders and employees, providing guidance on employee relations, performance management, workplace investigations, conflict resolution, and coaching.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment regulations, including FMLA, ADA, ACA, EEO, OSHA, I-9 administration, policy management, and government reporting requirements.
• Oversee self-insured benefits programs, annual open enrollment, vendor and broker relationships, leave administration, workers’ compensation, disability programs, COBRA, HSA, and retirement plan support.
• Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, employee handbooks, and best practices to support organizational growth and compliance.
• Lead employee engagement, recognition, culture-building, and communication initiatives that foster an inclusive and high-performing workplace.
• Create and deliver onboarding, compliance, leadership development, and professional training programs while supporting quality and continuous improvement standards.
• Administer HR systems and workforce analytics, leveraging data to identify trends, mitigate risks, inform leadership decisions, and drive strategic HR initiatives.
