Our client, a growing real estate investment company, is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to join their team in San Francisco. This position will support the HR function across multiple entities, with exposure to payroll, benefits, compliance, employee relations, hiring, onboarding, offboarding, and HR operations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with the ability to manage confidential information and streamline processes in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation: $70,000 – $80,000

Key Responsibilities
- HR Administration: Support core HR functions across multiple entities, including payroll, benefits, compliance, employee relations, performance management, and employee documentation.
- Payroll & Benefits: Assist with biweekly and off-cycle payroll processing, reporting, benefits enrollment, and annual Open Enrollment.
- Hiring & Onboarding: Support recruiting processes including requisition creation, candidate tracking, screenings, interview scheduling, and correspondence. Coordinate onboarding requirements, paperwork, system entry, and new hire meetings.
- Offboarding: Coordinate offboarding processes, including documentation, off-cycle payroll, meetings, system updates, and tracking.
- Compliance & Safety: Conduct internal HR audits and support compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Track required companywide HR and safety trainings.
- Employee Relations: Handle sensitive employee information with discretion, monitor performance matters, support documentation, and assist with employee investigations and escalations.
- Process Improvement: Partner with the HR team to automate existing processes and develop a library of internal and employee-facing SOPs.
- Administrative & Special Projects: Maintain organizational and entity documentation, prepare HR-related materials, track key filing dates, and assist with special projects as needed.
Qualifications & Ideal Profile
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field required, along with 3–4 years of HR experience and 3–4 years supporting high-level teams in an administrative capacity.
- HR Knowledge: Working knowledge of core HR functions, including payroll, hiring, onboarding, offboarding, compliance, and performance management.
- Technology: Proficiency with HRIS platforms, Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Excel, and PowerPoint required. Experience with Monday.com, Lattice, or Resourcing Edge is a plus.
- Organization & Attention to Detail: Highly organized and able to manage a high volume of information and competing priorities with speed and accuracy.
- Discretion & Judgment: Comfortable handling confidential employee information with a high level of discretion and professionalism.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, vendors, and external service providers.
- Proactive Mindset: Someone who looks for ways to improve processes, create structure, and make the HR function more efficient.
