Job summary

Private Equity in San Francisco is seeking an HR Generalist to join its People team onsite four days a week. You will design onboarding and support the full employee lifecycle, including benefits administration, employee relations, and offboarding, while ensuring compliance and process efficiency.

You will maintain employee data across HR systems such as Greenhouse and Culture Amp, and you will drive improvements to people processes as the organization scales.

Qualifications

• Experience as an HR Generalist or People Operations Generalist
• Strong understanding of employment law and benefits administration
• Experience with HRIS, ATS, and employee engagement platforms; familiarity with Greenhouse and Culture Amp is preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to synthesize information, analyze processes, and implement improvements

Responsibilities

• Design and manage onboarding programs for new hires

• Optimize People Operations processes for efficiency, scalability, and experience

• Provide responsive, white-glove support to employees and managers
• Partner cross-functionally to support people initiatives as the organization grows

What You'll Do:

• Design and manage onboarding programs that set employees up for success from day one
• Support the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, and offboarding
• Maintain accurate employee data and records across HR systems, including Greenhouse and Culture Amp
• Optimize People Operations processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, and employee experience
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and employment regulations
• Administer and support employee health and wellness benefits programs
• Generate reports and maintain data integrity across systems and platforms
• Serve as a trusted resource for employees and managers, providing responsive, white-glove support
• Partner cross-functionally to support people initiatives, policies, and programs as the organization continues to grow

Qualifications:

• Experience as an HR Generalist, People Operations Generalist, or similar human resources role
• Strong understanding of employment law, HR best practices, and benefits administration
• Experience working with HRIS, ATS, and employee engagement platforms; familiarity with Greenhouse and Culture Amp is highly preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to synthesize information, analyze processes, and implement improvements
