Job description

Stradley Ronon Stevens & Young, LLP, is seeking to hire a Human Resources Coordinator to be based out of our Philadelphia or Malvern, PA office. This position reports to the Director of Human Resources and will provide broad-based support across the Human Resources (HR) and Talent Acquisition (TA) functions. This position is responsible for ensuring the efficient execution of employee lifecycle support, event coordination, compliance processes, and a variety of administrative tasks. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and collaborative, with a strong service mindset, “can do” attitude, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

Human Resources (HR):

  • Ensure compliance with new hire state reporting and labor law posters, partnering with legal and compliance contacts.
  • Support the annual performance review process, including compensation memo prep, UKG uploads, and administrative tracking.
  • Process new hire, termination, and employee change entries in UKG.
  • Manage and maintain HR files and respond to employment verification requests (VOEs).
  • Prepare responses for PA SIDES and unemployment questionnaires.
  • Assist with firmwide and Philadelphia office events, including holiday parties, retirement celebrations, and other employee events.
  • Coordinate employee recognition and gifting programs, including Kudos, Wishlist, and special occasion flowers/gifts.
  • Enter new hires into HR platforms, including SendWordNow, Wishlist, etc.
  • Assist with offboarding, including exit memos and vacation payouts.
  • UKG timecard approvals for business professionals.
  • Process HR invoices and reconcile department credit card transactions for payment.
  • Assist the content manager for the HR department pages on the firm’s intranet, Stradosphere.

Talent Acquisition:

  • Assist with interview scheduling for business professional, law student, and attorney candidates. Facilitate interviews as needed.
  • Coordinate attorney and business professional orientation schedules and provide support for onboarding and integration.
  • Draft job descriptions and post on applicant tracking systems, LinkedIn, and various job boards.
  • Assist with candidate sourcing and market research.
  • Monitor, collect, and enter candidate data into applicant tracking systems.
  • Provide event coordination support during law student recruiting and the Summer Associate Program.

Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years of experience in HR, professional development, or legal recruiting; law firm or professional services experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in virtual meeting tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Comfort working both independently and collaboratively across departments.
  • Strong customer service skills, with an emphasis on responsiveness.
  • Experience with HRIS platforms (e.g., UKG, Aderant’s viEval) is a plus.
  • Experience with CLE tracking and legal industry processes is a plus.
