Job Title: Human Resources Coordinator – Recruiter

THIS IS AN IN OFFICE POSITION

Position Summary

The Human Resources Generalist plays an important role in attracting, hiring, and retaining top talent who align with our firm’s Vision, Mission, and Core Values. This position will lead full-cycle recruitment efforts while supporting broader HR initiatives, including onboarding, HRIS administration, compliance, and employee engagement programs. This role requires a proactive and organized individual with a strong foundation in recruiting and a passion for building a winning team.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition (Primary Focus – 60%)

  • Partner with hiring managers to define staffing needs and develop recruitment strategies for all departments.
  • Post compelling and brand-aligned job advertisements on various platforms (e.g., job boards, social media, referral channels).
  • Source candidates using a variety of proactive outreach methods including LinkedIn, networking events, colleges, and career fairs.
  • Screen resumes and conduct initial phone interviews to assess qualifications and cultural fit.
  • Coordinate and participate in panel interviews (in-person or via Zoom).
  • Extend offers, and ensure a seamless transition to onboarding.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in our Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Provide weekly recruiting metrics and performance reports to supervisor.

HR Operations & Compliance

  • Maintain and update employee data in the HRIS system, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Conduct background checks, reference verifications, and E-Verify submissions.
  • Prepare and process new hire documentation, and employment eligibility verification (I-9s, W-4s).
  • Assist with annual benefit renewals and support open enrollment.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

Onboarding & Engagement

  • Coordinate and conduct onboarding sessions, including HR, systems, and cultural training.

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in full-cycle recruitment and general HR functions.
  • HRIS experience required; familiarity with systems such as Paychex
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Discretion and sound judgment in handling confidential information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a legal or professional services firm.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
