Job Description

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) aligns business objectives with employees and management within designated units. Acts as a strategic partner, understanding the business, and collaborating with leadership on people-related decisions. Serves as an employee champion, change agent, and culture creator.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with leadership to develop talent and future leaders.
  • Deliver value-added HR services aligned with business goals.
  • Maintain knowledge of the business unit's financials, culture, and competition.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and legal requirements, including California employment law.
  • Manage employee relations issues, investigations, and disciplinary actions.
  • Provide performance management guidance, coaching, and counseling.
  • Support workforce planning, restructuring, and succession planning.
  • Utilize survey data to improve engagement and retention.
  • Identify training and coaching needs; monitor training effectiveness.
  • Interpret policies and ensure consistent application.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 8+ years HR experience.
  • Knowledge of employment laws, especially California-specific laws.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
  • Experience in HR strategy, programs, and fast-paced environments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred:

  • Experience in healthcare settings.
  • Advanced degree or HR certifications.

Physical Demands

  • Prolonged sitting, occasional walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 15 pounds.
  • Visual acuity for detailed work.

Salary Range

$103,887 - $192,191, based on experience and location.
