Job Description: Human Resources Business Partner

Our Human Resources Team is seeking a full-time Human Resources Business Partner to join our growth-oriented professional engineering and environmental consulting company. In this role, you serve as an internal consultant to people managers on HR-related matters and partner with them to develop integrated solutions in the areas of recruiting, talent management, training and development, change management, compensation, and employee relations and engagement.

This role has the potential to work virtually and can be filled near any BC office, with a preference for Denver, Phoenix, Seattle, Saint Paul, Atlanta, Nashville, or Philadelphia.

You manage multiple projects simultaneously, possess strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, operate with confidentiality, and exercise sound judgment. What you will do:
  1. Provide daily HR support and solutions within your geographical area, supporting managers and their teams in line with company philosophies, policies, practices, and programs.
  2. Act as a thought partner and coach for leaders on HR issues impacting strategic and long-range business plans.
  3. Partner with HR Directors, Talent Advisors, and Centers of Excellence to support company-wide initiatives, employee development, and local business needs.
  4. Develop recruitment, training, restructuring, and succession plans, assisting relevant staff in implementation.
  5. Gain deep insights into BC's business goals through building relationships and visibility with teams and stakeholders.
  6. Collaborate with Talent Advisors to provide talent and workforce advice, strategies, and recruitment initiatives.
  7. Support hiring and diversity initiatives, participating in interviews as needed.
  8. Coach managers on performance development, providing feedback and evaluating performance.
  9. Assist with performance management and calibration processes.
  10. Analyze data to identify trends and inform decision-making.
  11. Execute complex HR responsibilities, ensuring compliance with policies and laws.
  12. Develop and share reports related to retention, labor, etc.
  13. Drive HR initiatives with effective change management and communication strategies.
  14. Respond promptly to escalated issues and inquiries.
  15. Support managers in resolving employee relations issues and participate in investigations when necessary.
  16. Serve as the primary contact for supervisors and leaders within your geography.
  17. Lead on-demand initiatives like office events, salary adjustments, and retention plans.
  18. Partner in leading organization health surveys and developing action plans.
  19. Maintain professionalism, discretion, and sensitivity in all responsibilities.
  20. If remote, ensure reliable internet and productivity.
  21. Travel occasionally (0-20%).
Desired Skills and Experience:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  2. 8+ years of HR Business Partner or Generalist experience.
  3. Strong knowledge of HR laws, policies, and procedures.
  4. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  5. Ability to understand business needs and leverage HR expertise accordingly.
  6. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  8. Ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus as needed.
  9. PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
  10. Willingness to travel as required.
