Job Description

Our Human Resources Team is seeking a full-time Human Resources Business Partner to join our growth-oriented professional engineering and environmental consulting company. In this role, you serve as an internal consultant to people managers on HR-related matters and partner with them to develop integrated solutions in recruiting, talent management, training and development, change management, compensation, and employee relations and engagement.

*This role has the potential to work virtually and can be filled near any BC office, with preferences for Denver, Phoenix, Seattle, Saint Paul, Atlanta, Nashville, or Philadelphia.

You manage multiple projects simultaneously, with interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills as your top strengths. You operate with confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, and seek to understand employee and business needs to create balanced solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Develop recruitment, training, restructuring, and succession plans, and help relevant staff implement them in partnership with HR Directors.
  • Gain deep insights into BC's business goals and operations through building relationships with teams and key stakeholders.
  • Partner with Talent Advisors to provide talent and workforce advice, strategies, and solutions aligned with BC's policies and practices.
  • Support hiring and diversity initiatives, participating in interviews as needed.
  • Coach managers on development plans, provide feedback, and evaluate performance.
  • Assist with performance management and calibration processes.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and inform decision-making.
  • Handle complex HR responsibilities, applying knowledge of policies, laws, and practices.
  • Develop and share reports related to retention and labor metrics.
  • Drive HR initiatives with effective change management and communication strategies.
  • Respond promptly to escalated issues and inquiries.
  • Guide managers on employee relations issues, including investigations when necessary.
  • Support managers in solving people-related business challenges.
  • Serve as the primary contact for supervisors and local leaders within the geography.
  • Lead on-demand initiatives, such as office events and salary adjustments.
  • Collaborate on organizational health surveys and develop action plans based on results.
  • Maintain professionalism, sensitivity, and discretion in all responsibilities.
  • If remote, ensure reliable internet and productivity.
  • Travel occasionally (0-20%) as required.
Desired Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 8+ years of HR Business Partner or Generalist experience.
  • Strong knowledge of HR laws, policies, and procedures.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to understand business needs and leverage HR expertise.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt focus.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
  • Willingness to travel 0-20%.
