Job Title: Human Resources Business Partner

Our Human Resources Team is seeking a full-time Human Resources Business Partner to join our growth-oriented professional engineering and environmental consulting company. This role acts as an internal consultant to managers on HR matters and collaborates on solutions in recruiting, talent management, training, change management, compensation, and employee engagement.

Location flexibility: This role can be remote and is preferred near BC offices in Denver, Phoenix, Seattle, Saint Paul, Atlanta, Nashville, or Philadelphia.

You are a curious problem solver skilled in building partnerships, managing multiple projects, and maintaining confidentiality. Your interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills are top strengths, and you strive to understand employee and business needs to create balanced solutions.

Responsibilities
  1. Provide HR support within your geographical area, supporting managers and their teams in line with company policies and practices.
  2. Partner with HR Directors, Talent Advisors, and Centers of Excellence to support company initiatives and local needs.
  3. Develop recruitment, training, restructuring, and succession plans, and assist in their implementation.
  4. Gain deep insights into BC's business goals and build relationships with key stakeholders.
  5. Support talent acquisition and diversity initiatives, including participating in interviews.
  6. Coach managers on performance development and evaluation, ensuring employees have necessary skills and resources.
  7. Assist with performance management processes and analyze data to inform leadership decisions.
  8. Handle complex HR responsibilities, applying knowledge of policies, laws, and practices.
  9. Develop HR reports related to retention and labor trends.
  10. Lead HR initiatives with effective change management and communication strategies.
  11. Respond promptly to escalated issues and inquiries.
  12. Guide managers on employee relations issues, investigations, and legal considerations.
  13. Support local initiatives and organizational health surveys, developing action plans based on survey feedback.
  14. Maintain professionalism, discretion, and sensitivity in all responsibilities.
  15. Remote work requires a reliable internet connection and productivity tools.
  16. Travel may be required (up to 20%).
Desired Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of HR Business Partner or Generalist experience.
  • Strong knowledge of HR laws, policies, and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to understand business needs and leverage HR expertise effectively.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus as needed.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
  • Willingness to travel (up to 20%).
