Job Description: Human Resources Business Partner

Our Human Resources Team is seeking a full-time Human Resources Business Partner to join our growth-oriented professional engineering and environmental consulting company. This role involves serving as an internal consultant to managers on HR-related matters and partnering with them to develop solutions in recruiting, talent management, training, change management, compensation, employee relations, and engagement.

Work Location: This role has the potential to work virtually and can be filled near any BC office, with a preference for Denver, Phoenix, Seattle, Saint Paul, Atlanta, Nashville, or Philadelphia.

Who You Are:

You are a curious problem solver capable of developing strong partnerships and collaborative relationships. You manage multiple projects effectively, possess excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, and operate with confidentiality and sound judgment. You understand employee and business needs to create balanced solutions.

What You Will Do:
  • Provide daily HR support and solutions within your geographical area, supporting managers and their teams.
  • Partner with HR Directors, Talent Advisors, and Centers of Excellence to support company-wide initiatives and local needs.
  • Develop recruitment, training, restructuring, and succession plans, assisting relevant staff in implementation.
  • Gain deep insights into BC's business goals and build relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Support talent acquisition and diversity initiatives, participating in interviews as needed.
  • Coach managers on priorities, development plans, performance reviews, and resource allocation.
  • Assist with performance management processes, including reviews and calibration.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and inform decision-making.
  • Execute complex HR responsibilities, ensuring compliance with policies and laws.
  • Create and disseminate reports related to retention and labor metrics.
  • Drive HR initiatives using effective change management and communication strategies.
  • Respond promptly to escalated issues and inquiries.
  • Guide managers on employee relations issues, investigations, and legal considerations.
  • Support local initiatives and organizational health surveys, developing action plans based on survey results.
  • Maintain professionalism and discretion in all responsibilities.
  • Remote work requires reliable internet and productivity tools; occasional travel (0-20%) may be required.
Desired Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 8+ years of HR Business Partner or Generalist experience.
  • Strong knowledge of HR laws, policies, and procedures.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Business acumen and experience in a matrixed organization.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus as needed.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
  • Ability to travel as needed (0-20%).
