Jobtailor is seeking a Senior Labor Relations/HR Business Partner to lead union relations, provide strategic guidance to site leaders, and translate business objectives into people strategies across manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in a related field.
  • Minimum seven years in HRBP, HR Generalist, or Labor Relations leadership roles.
  • Experience supporting unionized manufacturing or industrial environments.
  • Experience leading investigations, corrective actions, and performance management.
  • Strong knowledge of labor relations practices and collective bargaining agreements.
  • Familiarity with NLRA and employment laws.
  • Experience partnering on workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, and talent development.
  • Ability to analyze workforce data and translate insights into actions.
  • Strong communication, coaching, influencing, and stakeholder management across all levels.
  • Experience in regulated industrial environments with relevant certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with site, functional, and regional leaders to translate business objectives into workforce and talent strategies.
  • Develop and execute labor relations strategies supporting operational goals and stability.
  • Lead collective bargaining negotiations, grievance administration, contract interpretation, and arbitration preparation.
  • Advise leaders on employee and labor relations matters, including investigations and terminations.
  • Build and maintain relationships with union representatives.
  • Lead organizational effectiveness, change management, and workforce planning initiatives.
  • Facilitate talent reviews, succession planning, retention, and development planning.
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition on hiring strategies and internal mobility.
  • Leverage workforce analytics to support data-driven HR decisions and ensure data integrity.

Job description


  • Partner with site, functional, and regional leaders to translate business objectives into workforce, organizational, leadership, and talent strategies

  • Develop and execute labor relations strategies supporting operational goals, workforce stability, employee engagement, and business results

  • Lead collective bargaining agreement negotiations, grievance administration, contract interpretation, and arbitration preparation

  • Advise leaders on employee relations and labor relations matters, including investigations, corrective actions, workplace concerns, and terminations

  • Build and maintain relationships with union representatives

  • Lead organizational effectiveness, change management, organizational design, workforce planning, and business transformation initiatives

  • Facilitate talent reviews, succession planning, retention strategies, and development planning

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition and business leaders on hiring strategies, critical talent needs, workforce planning, and internal mobility

  • Leverage workforce analytics and talent metrics to support data-driven decisions and ensure Human Resources data integrity and reporting accuracy



Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Organizational Development, or a related field

  • Minimum of seven years of Human Resources Business Partner, Human Resources Generalist, Labor Relations Manager, or related Human Resources experience

  • Experience supporting unionized manufacturing or industrial environments

  • Experience leading employee relations investigations, corrective action processes, and performance management activities

  • Strong knowledge of labor relations practices, collective bargaining agreements, grievance administration, and arbitration processes

  • Proficiency in the National Labor Relations Act and other applicable employment laws and regulations

  • Experience partnering with leaders on workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, change management, and talent development initiatives

  • Ability to analyze workforce data and translate insights into actionable business recommendations

  • Strong communication, coaching, influencing, and stakeholder management skills across all levels of the organization

  • Experience supporting food, ingredients, specialty chemical, manufacturing, or other regulated industrial environments

  • Professional certification such as Certified Labor Relations Professional, Senior Professional in Human Resources, Professional in Human Resources, Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional, or Society for Human Resource Management Senior Certified Professional

  • Experience leading large-scale organizational change, culture transformation, or labor negotiations within a complex multi-site environment
